چکیده
BackgroundIntravascular lithotripsy (IVL) use has been well described in calcified coronary artery disease. It deemed an effective and a safe method for plaque modification. In-stent restenosis (ISR) remains major challenge revascularization especially multilayer ISR. The of IVL ISR off label case reports small series. Here we describe including its procedural clinical outcomes.MethodsThis was retrospective single center study where all intracoronary percutaneous interventions requiring were reviewed between May 2021 December 2021. We selected only the cases involving Lithotripsy in-stent restenosis. Baseline characteristics patients obtained from chart review. Overview of Intracoronary Brachytherapy for in-Stent Restenosis of a Drug-Eluting Stent
Percutaneous coronary intervention with stenting is considered recently as the most common procedure for the treatment of symptomatic coronary. The article reviewed 41 studies published during 1997-2019 on intracoronary brachytherapy for in-stent restenosis of a drug-eluting stent. Intracoronary radiation therapy was finally confirmed in the setting of in-stent restenosis using as adjunctive th...

T he development of an effective strategy for management of in-stent restenosis (ISRS) following ‘‘bare metal’’ stenting has proved difficult. Standard percutaneous therapy for ISRS leads to re-restenosis rates above 50% and consequently represents a poor treatment option. At present the ‘‘gold standard’’ treatment for ISRS is vascular brachytherapy (VBT), with re-restenosis rates falling to be...

PURPOSE Given the limited salvage options for in-stent restenosis (ISR) of drug-eluting stents (DES), our high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratory has been performing intracoronary brachytherapy (ICBT) in patients with recurrent ISR of DES. This study analyzes their baseline characteristics and assesses the safety/toxicity of ICBT in this high-risk population. METHODS AND MATERIALS A re...
متن کاملReview of intracoronary radiation for in-stent restenosis.
Vascular Brachytherapy using beta and gamma radiation is the standard care for patients with in-stent restenosis (ISR). The reported incidence of ISR varies from 7-37% of patients who undergo bare metal stent implantation and is dependent on patient characteristics, lesion morphology, and procedural technique. The recurrence rate after treatment for ISR varies among reported series but remains ...
متن کاملIntracoronary Radiation Therapy (IRT) for In-Stent Restenosis
The efficacy of beta and gamma emitters in reducing clinical and angiographic restenosis in patients with in-stent restenosis has been confirmed by a number of studies. This review is intended to give an overview of the individual trials, summarize pertinent lessons that have been learned and give insight into the future of intracoronary radiation. The encouraging results from the clinical tria...
